Volunteering Abroad

Many people look to spend a portion of their time traveling volunteering, others want to use their personal skills to make a difference to those less fortunate than themselves while others simply want to experience something new and exciting while making a positive impact on the world around them.

There are 3 main types of volunteering

·         Conservation

·         Humanitarian Relief

·         Working in the Community

Conservation can include a wide range of activities, from repairing habitats and rehabilitating injured animals to standing up for animal rights and building community awareness of the importance of local ecosystems.

Humanitarian Relief can involve short term reactions to natural disasters to long term aid programmes.

Working in the Community can range from caring for orphans and supporting displaced families to building houses and communal buildings.

If you have specific skills such as Medical or Engineering qualifications then you may be able to make an even bigger impact on people and their communities through various aid organisations. Legal Professionals are also able to provide legal aid to those in need. If you have a passion for sports then you can teach sports to children bringing fun and activity to to their lives.
