Food shoppers have many choices in the Phoenix area. Large grocery store chains serve the city and its suburbs with a wide variety of food and pharmacy products.

Suburban residents generally have at least one grocery store in their immediate neighborhood. Many of the larger grocery stores are open 24 hours. These large stores cater to the way Americans shop in general; they tend to do major shopping for food that will last the week while shopping for smaller purchases of fresh items that need replacing.
